How To Add Google Analytics Code On Blogger (2017 Update)



Google Analytics is a widely used web investigative product offered by Google that tracks real time visitors, landing pages, bounce rates and lot more of website.

You can check metrics of site, create campaigns, check the pages that bring more conversion rate, find where visitors are clicking and discover what users are searching for. You can also detect the worst performing pages using Google Analytics.

All these exciting features begin by placing an small tracking code on your web page that makes Analytics work properly.

On this article, I will show you how to properly add Google Analytics code on blogger step by step.

How to add Google Analytics code to Blogger

Step 1:
Visit analytics.google.com and click "Sign Up".



Step 2:
Click on "Website" just below "What would you like to track?" .


Step 3:
Fill up your details in required boxes as below:
  • Account Name: Give a name to your analytics account. You can input the name of your site or real name on this field.
  • Website Name: Insert your blog name.
  • Website URL: Place your full blog address on this box.
  • Industry Category: Click on this dropdown menu and tick on the suitable niche for your site.


    Step 4:
    Select "Reporting Time Zone" and click on your country name by using the search box.


    Step 5:
    Scroll down and click "Get Tracking ID". A popup window will appear. Read Google Analytics Terms of Service Agreement in that window properly and click "accept".



    Step 6:
    Copy the "Tracking ID" as shown in screenshot below once Google Analytics page loads.


    Step 7:
    Visit Blogger>>Dashboard>>Settings>>Others. Scroll down to bottom and paste the tracking code in "Analytics Web Property ID" as shown below. Then click "Save Settings".
